8 inch cast iron pitch bowl 

Please note that it takes about 5 lbs of medium green pitch to fill this up completely - you will need to order around 7 lbs of pitch to get started, but you use the pitch over and over again.  It is really a one time investment. 

Another option would be to fill the pitch bowl half way with plaster and the rest with pitch (see photos in blog below).  Make sure the plaster is completely dry before you add the pitch.  I will be covering this more throughly in my book.

I have been invited to put on some demonstration and lead some workshops on Repousse Techniques at the September 2010 California Sculptors Symposium in the quaint coastal town of Cambria, CA.

The final details are still to be worked out, but I am tentatively scheduled to teach on Wed - 22nd, Thurs - 23rd and Friday - 24th.  All tools and materials necessary will be provided, though there may be a small materials fee required.

There will be two workshops per day, two hours each.  I will be on hand to work with you outside of those scheduled time periods as well.  Stay Tuned!  In the meantime, feel free to go to the California Sculptors Symposium websiteto see what their events are all about!
